David Boothman

David recently transitioned from a successful corporate career to pursue his lifelong passion for gardening, horticulture, and garden design. He retrained at The London College of Garden Design, which is renowned for producing some of the UK's top garden designers, and is proud to be part of that legacy. The education and experience gained there serve as the foundation for every project, ensuring that he brings a high level of professionalism, creativity, and technical expertise to each garden. David is thrilled to have designed and helped build an Award Winning Garden at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Show, working in conjunction with the multi-award winning James Parker Sculpture.

David established David Boothman Garden Design, bringing his talent for visualising garden transformations, to help clients realise the full potential for their outdoor spaces. His satisfaction in seeing delighted clients is what drives his work.

David graduated with Distinction and received the College Prize for Top Student in his year.

David is a concept driven garden designer specialising in creating imaginative, sustainable, modern garden designs across a broad range of garden sizes and styles taking his inspiration from the natural world around him. At the heart of all his designs is a deep connection with the surrounding environment and landscape. His goal is to create gardens which feel rooted in their landscape and which are wildlife and insect friendly boosting biodiversity.

David has designed gardens for clients across the UK. With the use of modern technology it is easy to discuss design and planting concepts via video calls. David will always visit the site as part of the process to understand the space and get a feel for the atmosphere and surrounding area which are both important to the design process.
